Dr. MeeCee Baker brings more than 25 years of experience in agricultural education and research to Versant Strategies.  A leading advocate on rural and agricultural issues, she has remained at the forefront of educating Pennsylvania citizens both in and about contemporary agricultural practices. 
 
Before joining Versant, she served as coordinator of agricultural education for the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, overseeing all education-related activities and initiatives for the department.  Also, she holds an adjunct professorship in the North Carolina State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Her scholarship has been featured in numerous publications, and she has presented her work at various research conferences.  Baker has also co-authored two nationally utilized textbooks, Introduction to Veterinary Science and Animal Science Biology and Technology

Baker currently owns Mid-State Maines, a Maine-Anjou cow-calf operation located in Juniata County. She was a former Pennsylvania State Grange officer and holds membership in the Farm Bureau, Farmer’s Union and several education associations, and she was the first woman elected president of the National Association of Agricultural Educators.  A former host of the annual PA Farm Show dinner, she is often asked to speak at industry conferences and events.
