Dennis Wolff is one of Pennsylvania's leading voices in production agriculture, and his expertise has helped shape state, regional, and national dairy policy. Wolff brings to Versant Strategies not only a deep, first-hand knowledge of the issues facing the agriculture industry, but an understanding of the impact government has on farmers, businesses, families, and rural communities.

Prior to joining Versant, Wolff served as Pennsylvania's Secretary of Agriculture, working closely with other members of the executive branch as well as legislators in Harrisburg and Washington D.C. Wolff's tenure as Secretary of Agriculture saw the creation of several innovative programs designed to improve the agriculture industry and legislation designed to protect farmers and rural communities. Wolff also led improvements to consumer protection programs in Pennsylvania, making strides in food safety and animal health.

Wolff's advocacy has been felt on a national and international level. He helped shape Pennsylvania's recommendations for the 2008 Farm Bill, has served as an appointed member of the Agriculture Technical Advisory Committee to the World Trade Organization, led numerous trade missions overseas, and has served as president of the Northeastern Association of State Departments of Agriculture. In 2009, Wolff was the recipient of the Holstein Association USA's Distinguished Leadership Award for his work in national dairy policy.

In 1994, Wolff was named a Master Farmer for his outstanding work in the agricultural field. His own Pen-Col farm, a 600-acre dairy cattle operation, is renowned in the field of specialized genetics.

Wolff is president and founder of the Nicholas Wolff Foundation and Camp Victory in Millville, Pa., a non-profit camp for children with special medical needs.
